    anything is possible
It’s true. We are all capable of so much more than we often give ourselves credit for. It’s time to focus on the possibilities and push all those negative thoughts out of your head. You can do this. You can do anything.

    gentle pressure relentlessly applied
If you're at Camp Dynamo, you're probably an "ideas person." We all have ideas about how to improve our businesses, or communities, our organizations, and ourselves. We've also all experienced resistance to change and roadblocks to making our ideas into reality - sometimes structural and systemic, other times personal. Gentle Pressure Relentlessly Applied focuses on how and why we can take initiative and make our ideas happen - on being bold and shaking things up, in an inclusive and forward-looking way.

    Let's Talk About It
The stigmas that surround mental health are both dangerous and unnecessary. One of the best things we can do is talk. Break the silence. Mental illness touches us all in some way directly or through a friend, family member or colleague. Catherine MacLellan is here to share her story.

    Jumping Off A Cliff
What do you really want to do with your time? What if you’ve never done it before? NASA landed on the moon with Astronauts who had never set foot anywhere but on Earth. So how can you do the great things in your life if you don’t already know how to do them? Sometimes you just have to jump off the cliff and learn to fly on the way down. It’s A LOT different than ‘fake it ‘til you make it’. Quite the opposite! This session is about having the confidence to identify what you don’t know, and how to seek the help you need to accomplish anything big in life. Wraychel will share how she has personally and professionally learned to fly, and share tangible things you can do to help yourself learn too.

Meditation is about being comfortable and at peace.  As we explore several techniques of practicing meditation, you can pick and choose those practices that make you most comfortable. What is meditation? taking care of you
You can’t be a leader if you aren’t taking care of yourself. We often overlook our own personal needs in the run of our day to day lives (did you skip lunch today?). During this session our Camp Leaders will discuss ways that you can break the cycle and focus on your personal development, in addition to your professional development.

    Being Boss
This session is intended to help you navigate through the often over-looked and sometimes dreaded world of Human Resources. It doesn’t have to be daunting! Your people are the backbone of your business – they represent you! Finding and keeping the right ones are key and can help grow your business and your bottom line. The tips and information we’ll cover have worked for me over the years. Don’t think that you have to implement all of them tomorrow but if you have a few take-aways that make HR a little less stressful, I will be happy!

And remember, HR can be SO rewarding! Finding the right people for the right role can be a total Oprah A-HA moment!

DALVAY BY THE SEA

Dalvay by the Sea is one of Prince Edward Island’s most beautiful historic sites, complete with a rich and fascinating history and for one weekend Campers will get to call it home.

Just 20 minutes from Charlottetown on beautiful Dalvay Beach is the location of this magnificent Victorian Inn (c. 1895) and National Historic Site of Canada. 26 Guestrooms furnished in antiques, eight three bedroom Executive cottages are available to Sleepover Campers. Dalvay by the Sea has been recognized as PEI’s grand oceanfront resort and award winning AAA/CAA four-diamond restaurant. Where history, personalized service and modern cuisine meet in harmony. What could be more inspiring than that?

Get Away From it All… There are no televisions, radios, or even telephones in the rooms. This is the perfect place for a digital detox so that you can unplug from your devices and the outside world and get back in touch with why you do what you do.

Transportation is on you, but it’s really easy to get to Dalvay by the Sea if you follow the map/road signs. You are also encouraged to car pool with your friends.
  • How do I get to camp?
  • Is there parking?
    You bet.
  • Can I bring my computer to Camp Dynamo?
You can bring it if you want but we’re encouraging everyone to disconnect and do a digital detox while at Camp Dynamo so that you can focus on things other than answering emails and what’s trending on twitter.
  • Is there wifi?
There is…but after you take the Unplug Oath are you going to need it?
  • What happens if it rains?
Rain or Shine we will have all sorts of awesome things happening so everyone will have the opportunity to learn, connect, unwind and have a fantastic time.
  • Can I smoke cigarettes etc at Camp Dynamo?
